Scott Sparks, M.S.

Scott Sparks joined Operation Smile in November 2023, bringing with him three decades of experience in human resources leadership across a diverse range of sectors. In his current role as senior vice president of global human resources, Sparks is responsible for overseeing the organization’s HR programs, strategies and operations on a global scale.

Before joining Operation Smile, Sparks served as chief people officer and head of people in several prominent organizations, such as Data Analysis, Inc, (2019 to 2022) and Virgin Orbit (2016 to 2019) — where he was instrumental in building and leading organizational change initiatives and enhancing employee engagement. His career began in human resources in 1995 at William Morris and continued at Northrop Gruman Corporation, where he held various leadership HR roles from 2000 to 2014.  His career has spanned the entertainment, aerospace, technology and healthcare industries.

Sparks grew up in Los Angeles, California, and holds an M.S. in human resources management from Chapman University in Orange, California, and a B.S. in human services from California State University, Fullerton. He also earned a professional designation in HR management from the University of California, Los Angeles, and holds a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM). Sparks now resides in Bentonville, Arkansas.
