Michael Scheidt

Michael Scheidt is delighted to join Operation Smile as manager of planned giving and leverage his comprehensive knowledge of charitable gift planning, multi-level donor engagement, fundraising strategy, marketing, volunteer coordination and nonprofit leadership. With over 24 years’ experience in the nonprofit sector that spans from local community-focused organizations to national and global organizations, Michael prioritizes strong team-building and stakeholder empowerment dialogue towards deepening mutually beneficial philanthropic relationships.

Michael has completed the master’s degree in arts management with George Mason University’s College of Visual and Performing Arts and received his Bachelor of Arts in German and music from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. He is fluent in Spanish and German and enjoys studying languages, hiking, cycling, swimming, reading and travel.
