Valentine’s Surgery Provides a New Beginning

Five-year-old Valentine faced bullying and isolation from other children because of her cleft condition. In Rwanda, patients can wait years for plastic surgery because of a lack of surgeons. But, thanks to Operation Smile’s training program, the number of plastic surgeons in the country is growing substantially, and patients like Valentine can get the care that they need.
