Press Release June 13, 2018

Operation Smile Takes Top Honor at Telly Awards

Operation Smile is awarded seven Tellys, including prestigious gold, at the 39th Annual Telly Awards. “This is truly an honor and a reflection of the heart we put into our storytelling. We care deeply about patients and families affected by cleft conditions, and this content reinforces our vision for a future where health and dignity are improved through safe surgery,” said Katherine Wallace, Director of Brand and Content at Operation Smile.

This is the first year gold was awarded which only went to the top 3% of all winning entries. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work created within television and across video, for all screens. Receiving more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and 5 continents, Telly Award winners represent work from some of the most respected advertising agencies, television stations, production companies and publishers from around the world.

Operation Smile submitted video entries that highlight patients, volunteers, and the scope of the organization’s work.  Each Operation Smile entry received gold, silver and/or bronze in a variety of categories.
