Craig Anderson is the chief financial officer at Operation Smile. Serving in this role since 2018, he is responsible for the organization’s global financial operations, accounting, budgeting, procurement and information technology systems. He is a senior financial executive with over 30 years of experience in leadership roles across diverse settings, including health care, operations, business development, contracting and government.  

As a skilled and trusted communicator with global stakeholders, Craig navigates strategic roadmaps to achieve business goals, implements optimal financial solutions and is recognized for forming and directing cross-functional teams in audit completion, contract execution, information technology, human resources, back-office operations and major account retention. He has worked with the United States Department of Defense and government as well as Fortune 500 clients across the Asia-Pacific region, Europe, Africa, Latin America and North America, demonstrating success in general management, profit and loss, budgeting, talent development, risk analysis and process implementation.

Craig’s accomplishments include spearheading the aggressive expansion of a $12,000,000 entity into a more than $500,000,000 organization through business development, transformative initiatives and program optimization. He has established operations in 16 countries, generating over 25% of total revenue and created two international subsidiaries on four continents with four customized structures for country operations. Craig has revamped finance, accounting and operations for two organizations, returning both to fiscal stability with sustainable trajectories. He has also prospected for and conducted major deal negotiations with government contracting officers, corporate sponsors and international organizations. Craig has mentored top performers while developing entire units for human resources, information technology, business development, grants and contracts, communications and program management.
