College Program

About Operation Smile's College Program

College is a natural place for personal growth and discovery, as well as eye-opening experiences and newfound understanding. For many students, this often leads to a desire to help others both in the United States and abroad. Operation Smile College Associations (OSCAs) provide college students an opportunity to serve and build leadership skills by leaving a lasting mark on their local and global communities.

Currently, more than 70 College Associations are registered with Operation Smile. They include graduate schools, medical schools, universities, colleges, and junior colleges from all around the world. In addition, we encourage existing service organizations/clubs to register with us as an Operation Smile affiliate. Together, we can work toward changing lives, one smile at a time.

Ways to be involved

Start an Operation Smile College Association
We encourage interested and committed students to band together to build awareness of Operation Smile. Operation Smile College Associations can host informational booths, fundraisers, complete community service activities under the Operation Smile name, mentor high school students, etc. To register as an official association, please fill out the OSCA Registration & Contact Information Form and return it to Operation Smile.

In addition to registering with Operation Smile as an official organization, you will most likely need to register with your specific college or university through their Student Activities Building/Office.

Members of OSCAs are invited to attend Operation Smile's annual International Student Leadership Conference. The conference is a venue for motivation and creativity among our student leaders. College students have the unique opportunity of both leading and attending the sessions and events.

Mission Opportunities

Operation Smile's College Program accepts a few college students to join Operation Smile international mission teams throughout the year. The College Mission Teams travel to Operation Smile partner countries and leave lasting marks on the local communities by completing service projects.

Previous service projects included health care talks at orphanages and schools in Hoi An, Vietnam, a Student Education Conference in Hanoi, Vietnam, and the beautification of the mission hospital in Bolpur, India.
