Educational Exchanges and University Partnerships

At Operation Smile, we offer educational exchange programs to in-country medical professionals through partnerships with leading academic institutions. In order to offer training in new and advanced techniques, we pair in-country teams of physicians, nurses and health care professionals with faculty from prestigious universities across the globe for advanced education in the following disciplines: anesthesia, child life psychology, dentistry, nursing, pediatrics, plastic surgery and speech pathology.

We sponsor educational opportunities, including the Visiting Professor and Visiting Scholar programs, short- and long-term observerships, and clinical training in a supervised environment. Programs can take place in the university partner’s facility, in the participant’s home country or in both.
