Corporate Giving

Abbott

Since 1993, Abbott Fund and Abbott have donated more than $4 million in product and in-kind donations, and nearly $500,000 in cash donations, to support Operation Smile and its work around the world. In-kind donations include provision of sevoflurane, the Abbott anesthesia product used in all Operation Smile international medical missions, key medical supplies such as IV fluids and catheters, and pediatric medical equipment and pharmaceuticals that are used in cleft lip and cleft palate surgery. Through Abbott Fund’s support, Operation Smile’s Pediatric Advanced Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support program has been able to purchase needed training equipment and to train hundreds of medical professionals in critical life-saving techniques.

Fox Mobile Group

In celebration of the holidays, Fox Mobile Group donated to Operation Smile to help change the lives of children around the world. Headquartered in Berlin, Germany and Beverly Hills, Calif., Fox Mobile Group is the mobile content industry's largest vertically integrated company. In lieu of traditional paper holiday cards, they chose to donate to Operation Smile and to send eco-friendly electronic greeting cards.

XanGo

Since 2004, XanGo has been a dedicated supporter to the children of Operation Smile. XanGo's generosity has made an impact on hundreds of children throughout Latin America and around the world by promoting and supporting Operation Smile medical missions and helping to bring attention to children and young adults with facial deformities. Through its global philanthropic movement, XanGo Goodness, the company has established a corporate alliance with Operation Smile Mexico, A.C. to increase Operation Smile’s assistance to individuals and families in Mexico who are in need of surgical care. XanGo was the Title Sponsor of two Operation Smile medical missions to Mexico in May 2008 and October 2008. Together, the two missions provided life-altering surgery for 164 children and full physical examinations for 288 children.

These missions embody the XanGo Goodness vision of mobilizing the company's global resources, employees and distributors to make a difference and improve life for those who are less fortunate. XanGo's contribution includes not only monetary support, but company founders, executives, employees and distributors volunteering their time and services during the medical missions.

"As a global company committed to supporting the needs of children around the world, XanGo is honored to support Operation Smile Mexico, A.C. in its critical mission to better the lives of hundreds of children and families in Mexico," said Joe Morton, founder and board member for XanGo, LLC, category creator as the first company to bring a mangosteen beverage to a global market. "The work of Operation Smile and its volunteers will change lives and open up new avenues of opportunity that otherwise would not have been possible for the mission's recipients."
