Operation Smile Announces 2012 Outstanding Volunteer Award Winners
As the largest volunteer-based medical charity providing surgical care to children around the world, Operation Smile is proud of its more than 5,000 medical volunteers and its hundreds of thousands of community volunteers – all ready to give their time, passion and dedication to help children in need. In celebration of National Volunteer Week, Operation Smile is hosting its annual Volunteer Awards Ceremony on April 22, to honor eight exceptional volunteers and corporate partners.

Lilly Pulitzer and NABISCO BARNUM’S ANIMALS Support Operation Smile
Two iconic brands, Lilly Pulitzer and NABISCO BARNUM’S ANIMALS crackers, are teaming up to launch 2 million limited-edition cracker boxes in a custom signature Pulitzer print and giving fans a way to track the famous boxes through the “Cracker Tracker.” As the adorable boxes create smiles nationwide, they also are creating awareness for children who can’t smile because of facial deformities.

Internationally acclaimed accessories designer, Fiona Kotur, in collaboration with Operation Smile Ambassadors, Gillian and Lydia Hearst, has designed a clutch to benefit Operation Smile, an international children’s medical charity. The limited edition ‘Smile Bag,’ will be available on the KOTUR website for $395 with 100% of net proceeds going directly to Operation Smile.

Brooke Burke Charvet: Kick Up Your (High) Heels for a Great Cause
On December 3, hundreds of women will have the chance to strap on a pair of high heels and run for a good cause. The Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Stiletto Dash presented by The Palazzo Las Vegas will be hosted by "Dancing with the Stars" host Brooke Burke Charvet and will benefit Operation Smile and Opportunity Village.

ODU Basketball and Operation Smile Challenge Fans to Support Hoops for Smiles, Benefiting Children Worldwide Suffering from Clefts
Operation Smile and Old Dominion University are teaming up to help children worldwide who are suffering from cleft lips and cleft palates. During the Blue-White Scrimmage on Saturday, October 29, ODU fans are asked to bring items for the Smile Bags that are given to patients on Operation Smile medical missions. The first 600 children to attend the Blue-White Scrimmage will be given a free exclusive Hoops for Smiles basketball.

Two childhood friends partnered with Operation Smile this holiday season to launch the 'Zachary, Luke or Griffin' Teddy Bears, found exclusively on Operation Smile's Facebook Giving Catalog at www.operationsmile.org/fbcatalog and through Operation Smile's Web site at www.operationsmile.org/bears. These special bears are named after Lisa Lori's three sons, all who were born with facial paralysis.

Three Moms From Orange County are on a Mission to Heal Children's Smiles
Three mothers from Orange County, California have partnered with Operation Smile to teach their children a sense of philanthropy and give them a greater sense of global awareness. Stephanie Argyros, Daneia Sanadiki, and Krista Lesh Jajonie launched their campaign, 'Three Moms on a Mission,' this past spring, to raise funds and awareness for children around the world who are suffering from cleft lips and cleft palates.

Operation Smile honored Smile Ambassadors Zachary Levi, Giuliana and Bill Rancic at its 10th annual Smile Gala this evening, September 23, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. President of NBC Entertainment Jennifer Salke and her 12-year-old son Henry, as well as philanthropist Sue Tsao were also honored. 'Access Hollywood' host Billy Bush served as Master of Ceremonies and entertainment included a special performance by 'The Voice' stand-out Dia Frampton, Colburn's Children Choir and The Immortals Lions Dance Troupe.

Annual 'Breakfast for Smiles' Recognizes LDS Church and Features Renowned Guest Singer from the Philippines
The Operation Smile Utah Chapter is hosting its 5th Annual 'Breakfast for Smiles' on September 20 at 7:30 a.m., to raise funds and awareness for Operation Smile. At this year's Breakfast for Smiles, Operation Smile welcomes guest singer Chadleen Alberth Lacdo-o, who was born in the Philippines with a cleft palate.
