Executive Chef Cooks Up Smiles

Robert Cillizza, Executive Chef at the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel in Norfolk, Va.

Robert Cillizza, known as "Chef Robert" by many, donates his tips to Operation Smile to give children around the world new smiles and new lives.

Every weekend during brunch at the City Dock Restaurant inside the Sheraton Norfolk Waterside Hotel, Chef Robert works the omelet station. While Chef Robert and his staff cook at the brunch stations, they help raise awareness for Operation Smile’s cause by telling their customers about the life-changing work of Operation Smile and that tips will help heal the smiles of children in need.

Charity is nothing new to Chef Robert. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corp, he served in Vietnam and Iraq and received many military accolades for his community service and charity work.

He has worked on feeding the homeless, organizing food drives to put food on the Thanksgiving table for those in need, playing Santa so under privileged children can have a good Christmas, and raising funds for a special library in a children’s hospital. His love for helping children and people in need has led Chef Robert to concentrate his efforts to support the work of Operation Smile.

Chef Robert has given his talents and energy to help others. Because of him, many children around the world have new smiles and new lives.
