Residents of Plastic Surgery, Anesthesia, and Pediatrics interested in volunteering can apply for the Regan Fellowship. The applicants selected for this opportunity will spend 10 -14 days on an Operation Smile surgical mission alongside a mentoring physician. They will also support Operation Smile research initiatives and attend an annual conference where they can share their experiences and ideas with their peers.

Applications for medical missions in the second term (September 2010 — March 2011) are due May 1, 2010.
Operation Smile receives thousands of medical student inquiries for about 20 positions available annually. Applications postmarked after this date and incomplete applications will not be considered. Priority will be given to applicants who have a background with Operation Smile either through a partnering university or involvement with Operation Smile student club activities.
