Medical Professionals

Our medical volunteers are making a difference in the lives of children with cleft lip and cleft palate every day. As part of our medical team, these professionals reach out to each child, generously offering their time, knowledge and skills to heal smiles.

Interested in Volunteering?

MVAC (Medical Volunteer Action Center), Operation Smile's new online volunteer community, makes it easy!

MVAC was designed to help you manage your volunteer experience with Operation Smile by offering:

  • Easy online credentialing
  • Streamlined mission selection and tracking
  • Tools for travel documentation and record keeping
  • Online resources and forums to stay connected with the team and OSI staff
  • Alumni communities to connect with colleagues and share stories and photos after the mission is over

Ready to Get Started?

  1. Go to www.operationsmile.org/mvac
  2. Sign up and create an account
  3. Complete your full profile - Please note that all fields are required, but your contact information will not be visible to other members of the community.
  4. Go to the MyVolunteer tab to begin your credentialing record. This is a critical step in helping build accurate and comprehensive volunteer teams for our missions based on your area of specialty and unique skills. You will need to enter your education and work experience along with uploading a copy of your diploma, current license(s), board(s), and ACLS/BLS and PALS certifications (as applicable).

Then What?

Once you’ve completed your credentialing record, our team will send you an email as soon as your credentials are approved. From there, you can update your travel profile, apply for missions, join groups, share photos and participate in discussions to connect with other medical volunteers.
