Share Our Cause

Compassionate supporters of Operation Smile help share our cause with their family, friends and local community. We need your help to raise awareness of the fourth most common birth defect – cleft lips and cleft palates – and encourage others to become involved.

How you can help

• Speak Up
  
  As a community volunteer, you can share the story of Operation Smile with your neighbors, local clubs, organizations or church groups. Share one of our smile story videos available on our YouTube channel and use the “About Us” materials on this website to help you explain Who We Are, What We Do and Our Mission. Ask your participants to become involved by assisting you with a service project or fundraising event.
  
  
• Speak Out
  
  Organize a community event and request a medical volunteer speaker from our Speakers Bureau to help you share the mission of Operation Smile. Speakers share their stories of international medical missions and the patients whose lives are changed through Operation Smile. Ask your audience to help by sharing the cause, helping with a service project or raising funds to provide surgery for waiting children.
