Operation Smile, Inc. is an international children’s charitable organization that utilizes stateside chapters to help achieve the organization’s goals. The foremost purpose of a chapter is to provide on-going financial support to Operation Smile, Inc., its international programs and medical missions and to share Operation Smile’s mission statement, history and future goals with the chapter’s local community.
A U.S. state based Operation Smile Chapter may be called upon to provide any or all of the following:
• Development, coordination and support of fundraising events(s) and educational programs that increase local and/or national public awareness.
• In-kind medical supplies and other such gifts from local organizations or corporations.
• Medical, surgical, dental and other volunteers for international missions and education programs.
• Support, direction and guidance for the development and growth of local Student Programs.
• Support for National Domestic Medical Programs.
• Support, housing, or assistance for World Care Patients.
• Leadership, either at local, state or regional levels, to highlight Operation Smile and its mission (proclamation from Governor/Mayor, legislative action).
• Raise funds to support international medical and educational programs.
