Simply put, Operation Smile would not exist without its volunteers. Every medical project is comprised of a qualified team of physicians, nurses, dentists, speech therapists and other medical professionals come together to form every medical project. They selflessly give their time, skill and compassion with the ever-present goal of helping every child with a correctable facial deformity.

The following medical specialties are applicable for international medical projects: Plastic Surgeon; Anaesthetist; Paediatrician; Paediatric Intensivist; Paediatric Emergency Medical Physician; Biomedical Technician; Speech Therapist; Child Life Specialist; Nurse (RN, BSN, MSN); Pedodontist; Orthodontist; General Dentist.
