• Medical Projects: Operation Smile coordinates more than a hundred locations in over 30 countries annually. In 2005, medical volunteers provided free surgeries for 9,334 children through international and local, in-country medical projects.
  
  
• Centres: The First Operation Smile Care Centre was opened in Bogota, Colombia in 2001 and now provides treatment to nearly 500 patients annually. Building on this model, in 2007, Operation Smile opened Care Centres in Vietnam, Morocco, India, Panama and China, to provide comprehensive treatment to thousands of additional patients.
  
  
• Education: Operation Smile's educational initiatives such as the Physicians Training Programme, University Partnerships and educational projects teach local medical professionals in the most advance methods of care. From Life Support to Surgical Technique, these educational programmes are giving local physicians the tools and skills needed to treat children on their own each and every day.
  
  
• Student Programmes: More than 450 Operation Smile Student Associations around the world build awareness, raise funds and educate students about the values of commitment, leadership and volunteerism.

• Operation Smile United Kingdom is part of a global alliance of Operation Smile foundations and chapters working to serve children in 26 countries in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and the Middle East.
  
  
• Operation Smile U.K. is an independent, registered branch of an international charity that has (1) its own signed constitution, (2) a separate local Management Committee, (3) its own bank account, (4) its own annual, independently examined accounts, and (5) control over how the income raised in the U.K. is spent.
  
  
• A significant proportion of Operation Smile UK’s office, phone and infrastructure costs are donated by Netdecisions Investments and it’s partner companies Eviivo and Agilisys. Their kindness ensures that the maximum amount of funds raised go directly to change the lives of children in need.
