About Us

The North Carolina Chapter was founded in 1990 by Beth Marshall and a small group of dedicated volunteers in Greensboro, NC. The Chapter joined forces in 2007 with supporters in South Carolina to form a partnership called Operation Smile Carolinas Chapter.

The Chapter organizes a variety of fundraising initiatives every year such as galas, bowl-a-thons, and golf tournaments with the help of their dedicated volunteers and involved board members. They support several Operation Smile Student Clubs in both North and South Carolina with their events and fundraising efforts. Every year the Chapter produces an annual desk calendar highlighting international volunteer efforts for distribution across the United States and in our supported countries. The Chapter benefits from strong corporate fundraising and involved community support, along with a strong volunteer base which is always welcoming new members to the fold.
