A Variety of Ways to Give Donations to Nonprofits

Donations to nonprofits and charitable foundations raised billions of dollars last year to improve the plight of less fortunate people at home and abroad. Charitable foundations have become necessary in order to create a more humane existence.

Teams of medical professionals travel around the globe to countries like India, China, Vietnam, Kenya, Colombia and Ethiopia throughout the year and donate their expertise. Their work gives hope to children around the world who are suffering from a cleft lip or cleft palate facial deformity.

Charitable foundations often offer several ways for the community to give if funds are limited. Through partnerships with corporations, members of the community can often support nonprofits by choosing to buy particular products. The company then donates a portion of the revenue to nonprofit organizations.

Operation Smile has partnered with several companies, giving those who wish to give their support a way to “Shop to Benefit.” Companies like Arizona Beverage, Sephora and Lladró have all committed to donating a portion of their proceeds to support the efforts of Operation Smile.
