Benj Gershman

Musician Benj Gershman, the bassist for the popular American rock band O.A.R., accompanied Operation Smile on a mission to Peru and said of his experience, “It is amazing what people will do for others when motivated by the right reasons."

Gershman's humanitarian work extends beyond his support for Operation Smile and children born with facial deformities. He is also the founder of Look At Life, a global arts community based in New York City. OAR also created a charitable fund, Heard the World, to support educational and youth programs both in the U.S. and abroad.
