At Operation Smile, we are deeply committed to being the best stewards of our supporter’s gifts. We value the trust you place in our work and ability to optimize resources and direct funds to programs that will help us care for children around the world suffering from facial deformities.
All of our practices seek to demonstrate the highest standard of accountability, effectiveness and efficiency. In recognition of our meeting the high ethical standards of the nonprofit community and complying with generally accepted standards for management and public disclosure, the Direct Marketing Association’s Nonprofit Federation awarded Operation Smile the Non-Profit of the Year award in 2008.
We encourage you to read our Annual Report and Financial Statements to see the impact of your donations and our work. Operation Smile provides a financial statement from a certified independent auditor, KPMG LLP, every year as a part of its Annual Report.

Operation Smile:
Operation Smile Foundation:

Operation Smile Canada Foundation (OSCF) completed its first year as a not for profit corporation in Canada for the year ended June 30, 2012. The audited financial statements detail the results for our first year of operations. Thanks to a generous grant from Operation Smile Inc., (OSI) based in Norfolk, VA, we were able to allocate 79% of all donations received by Canadians for program work in our first year. OSI conducts programs on behalf of OSCF as they have over 30 years of experience and infrastructure to support our shared vision and mission.
Please be sure to read the accompanying notes as they form an integral part of the statements.
Effective July 1, 2012, OSCF became a registered Canadian charity (registration number 84064 3605 RR0001) and our current fiscal year will end June 30, 2013. We plan to have audited statements prepared and finalized by November of 2013 and posted here.
We thank you for your continued support of our work and for joining us to change the lives of children and young adults suffering from unrepaired cleft lips and cleft palates around the world. Together, we can change forever the lives of children.
